INFORMATION

Camp Info:

Carlos is excited to return home to run camp at Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé. He will be in attendance and work with campers during direct instruction providing tips and insights gained through his extensive and successful basketball career. In addition to this, camp activities will be designed and implemented by high level, experienced coaches including Doug Plumb (Professional Coach and Nike Trainer), Adam Huffman (CTA West Prep Executive Director and Head Coach) and Robert Casperson (JDHS Boys Varsity Head Coach), as well as other special guests. Camp will provide appropriate instruction for all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

Participation will be capped at 100 players in order to maintain a quality camp. Campers will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.

$25 from each registration will be donated to the Coach George Houston Memorial Fund.

Who: 

Players entering grades 4 - 12

What:

Boozer Basketball Camp is a fun and fundamentally focused basketball camp that will help to build individual players' skills, confidence, and ability. There will be an emphasis on offensive skill development, along with drills that will build individual defensive footwork. 

Daily games and contests will be held, with prizes available. 

Each camper will receive a reversible tank top to wear during camp.

The gym will be open/closed to participants 15 min before/after the scheduled start time each day. Please plan accordingly.

All camp activities will be held at JDHS in the George Houston Gymnasium. 1639 Glacier Avenue, Juneau, AK. 99801

Important:

Bring a basketball with your name clearly marked. 

Participants should arrive at camp in good physical condition ready to engage in a full day of strenuous activity. All campers need to wear athletic apparel appropriate for basketball activities (basketball shoes, socks, shorts, t-shirts, etc.). 

Jewelry is not allowed to be worn during camp. Please do not bring valuables. The camp is not responsible for lost/stolen items.

Time will be provided each day for lunch and snack/water breaks. Everyone will need to bring their own food/drink to consume during these times. Plastic or metal water bottles with names are encouraged. Glass containers will NOT be allowed in the gym.

Reminder - Each day of camp will be challenging and we expect that campers should be able to maintain their focus, effort, and behavior for the entire day. Any campers with disruptive or recurring discipline issues will be removed from camp activities for a short amount of time, the entire day, or the rest of the week depending on severity. No refunds will be provided.
